Rocha Three-Peats on Gulf Coast Tour

Rocha, Garland

Natalie Rocha snapped off the 6th stop on the 2023 Gulf Coast Women’s Regional Billiards Tour, besting the “Princess of Pool”, Teresa Garland, in the second set of the true, double elimination finals, 5-1. This marked Rocha’s third win of the year, making her the top contender for Tour Champion.

On July 8th-9th, 2023, sponsors Poison by Predator Cues, Predator Cues, APA of North Harris County, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, produced another successful event for the women of the Gulf Coast Tour. The event concluded in one day and featured a $500 added purse. Host venue, Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas, provided twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for match play, all covered in Predator Arcadia Reserve, tournament blue cloth, in a smoke-free environment. Predator provided Arcos II Pool Balls and Outsville Billiards supplied Accu-Rack template racks, for each table.

On the winners’ side, final four, Teresa Garland bested Leslie Pyle, 7-3, and Natalie Rocha defeated Rebecca Buzek, 7-1. Hot seat action witnessed Rocha slide past Garland, 7-5. On the one-loss side, down to the final 4 in the event, Pyle eliminated Ruth Paine, 5-4, but fell to Garland, 5-1. Garland earned herself a rematch with Rocha. In the first set of the finals, Garland came out swinging, taking down Rocha, 7-5. In overtime, Rocha reemerged, defeating Garland, 5-1, to claim her third victory of the season.

Congratulations to Leslie Pyle on a fabulous, 3rd place finish, in this event.
