Mille Almaraz captured the final stop on the Gulf Coast Women’s Regional Billiards Tour, undefeated, besting newcome Rachelle Dytko in final set, 7-6.

On October 14th-15th, 2023, sponsors Poison by Predator Cues, Predator Cues, APA of North Harris County, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, produced another successful event for the women of the Gulf Coast Tour. The event concluded in one day and featured a $500 added purse. Host venue, Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas, provided twenty, 24’ bar tables for match play, all covered in Predator Arcadia Reserve, tournament blue cloth, in a smoke-free environment. Predator provided Arcos II Pool Balls and Outsville Billiards supplied Accu-Rack template racks, for each table.

Down to the final eight on the winners’ side, Kim Pierce fell to Mille Almaraz, 7-2, while Leslie Pyle defeated Ruth Paine, 7-3. Rachelle Dytko overwhelmed Izela Escobedo, 7-1, and Marissa LaCoste ousted Angela Medina, 7-3. In the following round, Almaraz sent Pyle west, 7-2, and Dytko shut out LaCoste, 7-0. Hot seat action witnessed Almaraz deny Dytko, 7-3. On the west side, down to the final eight in the event, Michelle Abernathy eliminated Pyle, 5-3, while Pierce sent LaCoste packing, 5-2. Pierce went on to eliminate Abernathy, 5-1, but fell to Dytko, 5-2. Almaraz and Dytko teed off for a rematch, but unfortunately, it was more of the same for Dytko. Almaraz closed out the set, 7-3, to capture her first win of the Gulf Coast Tour season.
