Cheyenne Valdez took down a 17-player field to capture the final stop of the 2025 Gulf Coast Tour season, held at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas. Valdez ventured from the one-loss to defeat Courtney Peters in final, 7-6, 5-3, and secure her first-ever, Tour victory.
On October 11th, 2025, sponsors Poison by Predator Cues, Predator Cues, APA of North Harris County, Alamo Billiards, Outsville Billiards, and Team Straight Pool Eye, produced another successful event for the women of the Gulf Coast Tour. The two-day event featured a $500 added purse, drew 17 players, and paid out $975 in prize money. Big Tyme Billiards provided twenty-four, 7’ bar tables for match play, all covered in Predator Arcadia Reserve, tournament blue cloth, in a smoke-free environment. Predator provided Arcos II Pool Balls and Outsville Billiards supplied Accu-Rack template racks, for each table.

Peters, Valdez
In the final eight on the winners’ side, Cheyenne Valdez defeated Yvonne Asher, 7-4, while Ariana Alonzo denied Angela Medina, 7-3. Courtney Peters bested Teresa Garland, 7-4, and Ruth Paine detoured Natalie Porter-Smith, 7-3. Final four action witnessed Valdez overwhelm Alonzo, 7-1, and Peters overpower Paine, 7-3.

Paine, Alonzo
In the hot seat match, Peters ousted Valdez, 7-4. On the west side and in the final eight, Rocha eliminated Candy Barnes, 5-1, and Paine, 5-2. Garland shut out Ashley Julian, 5-0, and sent home Alonzo, 5-4. Garland forged ahead, ending Rocha’s run, 5-4, but fell to Valdez by the same score. Valdez earned herself a second shot at redemption, teeing off with Peters in the final. In the true, double elimination format, the first set was tit for tat, until the odds tipped in favor of Valdez, 7-6. In overtime, Peters could not recover, and Valdez closed out the second set, 5-3. Congratulations to Cheyenne Valdez on her first-ever win, on the Gulf Coast Tour.

Rocha
For a third, consecutive season, Natalie Rocha is this year’s Gulf Coast Women’s Tour Champion. For her efforts, she received a package of Predator Reserve Tournament Blue Cloth, and the coveted, “Tour Champion”, personalized plaque.
The Tour would like to welcome all the new players who attended their first event and urge them to return at every opportunity. The season opener is January 3rd-4th, 2026, at Big Tyme Billiards in Spring, Texas.
